This kit uses a hammer and sear with matching Apex-engineered single-action engagement surfaces. That means no polishing, no stoning, and no guesswork. The parts are precision-cut to mate correctly out of the box, so you get a clean, consistent single-action-style trigger break with a smooth, stack-free double-action pull. It’s designed to work with factory-length firing pins only — Apex does not recommend extended firing pins with this kit, ensuring reliable ignition in the high-dust environment of an outdoor Arizona range.

Trigger pull weights depend on your chosen mainspring:

  • Carry Mainspring: Approximately 6 lb. double-action, 4 lb. single-action
  • Competition Mainspring: Approximately 5 lb. double-action, 3.5 lb. single-action
