About this product

Apex Bolt Handle for FN SCAR by Apex Tactical. Fits Apex Tactical.

We ship to all US states — fast and discreet.

The Apex Bolt Handle for the FN SCAR platform is a direct upgrade for Arizona shooters who run their rifles hard in dust, heat, and high-round-count conditions. At $65, it solves a very real problem: clearing optics without splitting your knuckles.

Standard SCAR bolt handles sit tight against the receiver. That works fine until you mount a magnified optic or a red dot on a riser. Your hand has to squeeze into a tight gap, and in the dry Arizona air, that skin gets brittle fast. This handle extends outward from the upper receiver, giving you a clean, open grab zone. No more bloody knuckles on a hot range day.

The large lobe is designed for gloved and barehanded use. When the mercury hits 110°F, you might be in Mechanix or bare skin. The lobe gives you positive purchase either way. It also helps when your hands are coated in dust or carbon from a suppressed session. You get a solid grip every time, even with gritty fingers.

Installation is straightforward. The handle can be reversed and/or flipped to any orientation that suits your shooting stance, support hand, or barricade position. Left-side, right-side, forward, backward — you set it where it works for your body. No special tools required, no gunsmith needed.

This part fits the entire family of FN SCAR rifles in 5.56mm and 7.62mm. That means:

  • SCAR 16S (5.56mm)
  • SCAR 17S (7.62mm)
  • SCAR 20S (7.62mm precision)
  • SCAR-L and SCAR-H (military variants)

Suppressor users get an extra benefit. With a can on the muzzle, gas blowback can foul the action faster. A larger, extended bolt handle gives you more leverage to cycle the action when carbon buildup slows things down. It also keeps your hand farther from the hot receiver and suppressor blast — a real plus during extended strings of fire in desert heat.

This is a simple, durable fix for a common SCAR annoyance. No need to modify your rifle or replace your optic setup. Just swap the handle, set your orientation, and get back to shooting. Designed for the shooter who wants reliable bolt manipulation without the blood, sweat, and cussing.
