If you shoot a CZ Shadow or Shadow 2 in Arizona’s desert environment, you already know the factory trigger stack can cost you split seconds on steel or paper. The Apex Competition Action Enhancement Kit is built to handle exactly those conditions — no polishing, no stoning, and no guesswork.

This kit replaces the factory hammer and sear with matched Apex-engineered engagement surfaces. The result is a smooth, stack-free double-action pull followed by a sub-3-pound single-action break. With the medium mainspring, you get approximately 6 lbs. DA / 3 lbs. SA. Switch to the light mainspring for approximately 5.5 lbs. DA / 2.75 lbs. SA. That’s a clean, consistent trigger break shot after shot, even when your pistol is hot and coated in fine silt.

Because the sear and hammer are matched from the factory, there is zero need for polishing or stoning — just drop them in. Installation is straightforward, though the sear may require minor fitting of the thumb safety leg. This is a direct replacement for the factory parts, so you keep your original setup intact if needed.

Important note for suppressor users: Apex recommends using only the factory firing pin and factory firing pin return spring. Substituting other firing pins or return springs is likely to create safety issues, especially when running a can. The kit is designed to work reliably with factory internals, so you get consistent ignition and no light strikes — even with high round counts in dusty conditions.
