This magazine base pad extension for the FNX 45 is built for shooters who need more rounds without sacrificing reliability in Arizona’s demanding conditions. Whether you’re running drills in 110-degree heat, dealing with fine dust at the range, or shooting suppressed, this part holds up where polymer extensions fail.
Adds 2.5 rounds of actual capacity — not just a theoretical number. The design allows two extra rounds to load, plus enough spring compression space to seat a full magazine with the slide locked back. No hammering the base or fighting the mag release.
Keeps your slide lock working after the last round. The included extra-power magazine spring ensures the follower pushes up hard enough to engage the slide stop every time. This matters when you’re running hot ammo, a suppressor, or a dirty gun.
- Finger grooves on the perimeter and front corners give you positive grip for stripping a stuck mag out of a hot chamber. No slick surfaces — you get tactile purchase even with sweaty or gloved hands.
- Machined notches on the bottom face let you color-code your mags with paint or marker. Track which mags run best, which ones are tuned, or which are for practice only.
- Single set screw holds the extension tight to the magazine body. No rattling, no shifting. Remove it with a hex key for easy cleaning or spring swaps.
- Two finishes available:
– Black Type III Hardcoat Anodized — resists holster wear, solvent, and scratches. Standard for hard use.
– FDE Cerakote — matched to factory FDE frames using Magpul Flat Dark Earth (Cerakote H-267). Color consistency across your pistol and gear.
